How To Clean A Tenba Camera Bag

Anyone make clean a camera pocketbook in a washing machine?

I have a kata photographic camera/laptop haversack that is my secondary handbag. Its a couple years former and its pretty dirty in the inside. Id like to just put in the washing machine and let it do its chore. I know hand cleaning information technology is probably safer but similar I said it'due south not my go to pocketbook and it's old.

Any idea what detergent to use?

I've done a camera backpack and a tripod instance in the washer before. Just to be on the safe side I put it on cold and fragile cycle, then just hung information technology up to dry. Didn't become it as clean equally I thought it would, just definitely ameliorate and so hand cleaning. I simply used regular laundry detergent.

I've washed various Domke bags a few times, and they don't look a whole lot better subsequently washing.

I let them air dry.

I wash regular backpacks in the washer all the fourth dimension with regular detergent. It's not a large deal. I prefer to put information technology on extra rinse and/or highest speed spin, as bachelor, so that no detergent is left behind. I get allergic reactions to all kinds of things, like lather left under a watch, so I'm pretty careful about non having detergent left backside in my clothes or other articles that might be kept close to my skin.

My washing machine has an agitator so I put my bags in a garment bag first

Don't dry or use hot water- I've melted the water proofing coating on a tenba bag that way
